To Catch a Nashville Predator

October 15, 2008 by Joe Nathan

This week, NHLTV will air a pilot episode of a new show entitled To Catch A Nashville Predator. The show is a spin-off of the NBC hidden camera reality show To Catch A Predator.

To Catch A Predator rose to prominence in 2004 as a Dateline news magazine special. The program, hosted by Chris Hansen, is devoted to identifying, luring, confronting, and arresting sexual predators.

Hansen will reprise his role as the smug host, and will awkwardly confront Nashville Predators in random kitchens throughout Tennessee. “This is about justice. This about keeping our streets and our ice rinks safe. Nashville Predators need to be brought down,” said Hansen.

The premiere episode will feature Alexander Radulov. Despite being under contract with the Nashville Predators for the 2008-09 season, Radulov fled to Russia to join the upstart Kontinental Hockey League.

Many theories have been considered for Radulov’s extradition; however, The Daily Seagull has confirmed the producers of To Catch A Nashville Predator conducted a sting operation on Radulov in May.

The following is a chat transcript of Radulov with the undercover team:

Rad_u-Lov69: hey baby

14yr_lonelygirl: hi, how r u?

Rad_u-Lov69: good, u?

14yr_lonelygirl: good

Rad_u-Lov69: how old r u?

14yr_lonelygirl: under 18

Rad_u-Lov69: that’s ok, I am amazing hockey player

14yr_lonelygirl: really?

Rad_u-Lov69: Yah.

14yr_lonelygirl: that’s hot

Rad_u-Lov69: would you like to see my hockey stick?

14yr_lonelygirl: sure

Rad_u-Lov69: maybe I shoot some pucks into your net?

14yr_lonelygirl: that sounds like fun

Rad_u-Lov69: where do you live? I score

14yr_lonelygirl: my address is…

Radulov showed up at 14yr_lonelygirl’s house carrying a bucket of pucks, a hockey stick and some Lakota herbal rub. When confronted by Hansen in the kitchen, Radulov pretended not to understand. “No English, no English.” When pressed further his response was, “I just came to score, all I want to do is score goals with girl.”

“What is the Lakota herbal rub for?” asked Hansen.

“To sooth my hockey injuries. I was going to rub on myself,” said Radulov.

To Catch A Nashville Predator is sure to be a huge hit for NHLTV. Ratings in Tennessee are forecast to double the current ratings of any Nashville Predators game.
